YOUR FAMILY DATA

Privacy Policy

Effective August 17, 2026

KindSteps is a parent-managed family routine and rewards service operated by Hule Technology ("KindSteps," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to families.

Who the service is for

KindSteps accounts are created and managed by adults. Children do not provide an email address, create a login, make purchases, or communicate publicly. A parent may add a child's nickname, age, and selected avatar. We encourage parents not to enter a child's full legal name.

Information we collect

How we use information

We use information to provide family accounts, calculate points, show private history and regional leaderboards when a parent opts in, verify subscriptions, prevent fraud, answer feedback, maintain security, and comply with law. We do not sell personal information and do not use child profiles for advertising.

Regional leaderboard

Leaderboard participation is optional and controlled by a parent. It shows a parent nickname and weekly points within the selected state, province, or region. It does not show a child's profile, email, exact address, task names, or reward history.

Service providers and disclosures

We use hosting, database, cache, and app-store billing providers to operate KindSteps. They process information only to provide those services. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

International processing

KindSteps may process data in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we rely on contractual necessity, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, consent where requested, and legal obligations.

Retention

We retain account and family content while the account is active. When an account owner deletes the family account, active family profiles and activity are deleted from the production database. Limited records may be retained where required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax, or legal compliance, and protected backups expire according to our backup schedule.

Your choices and rights

Parents can edit profile and family information, opt out of the leaderboard, review activity, restore purchases, and delete the account. Depending on location, users may also request access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or deletion.

Account deletion

Delete an account in KindSteps under Settings → Privacy & account → Delete account, or use our web deletion page. Deleting KindSteps does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription; renewal is managed in the user's Google Play or App Store account.

Security

We use HTTPS in production, one-way password hashing, access controls, database isolation, server-side purchase verification, and monitoring intended to protect information. No security method is perfect, and we continually improve our safeguards.

Children's privacy

KindSteps is directed to parents and other adult caregivers, not to children. If we learn that a child submitted personal information directly without appropriate parental involvement, contact us and we will take appropriate action, including deletion.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or security changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
